Daytime classes are a wonderful chance to really enjoy learning upholstery techniques in a mixed class where all students work on different items of furniture. You’ll benefit from seeing a variety of works be completed alongside your own project.
The beauty of a weekly class is each session is 5 hours long giving you plenty of contact time with the lecturers to help progress your project and improve your skills. Spreading the classes weekly allows you the time to complete homework if you wish to really make the most of the tuition during the lesson – you can achieve so much more!
Upholstery materials and fabric are supplied at student discount rate.
Tasks you may complete on the course are:
- Stripping,
- Recovering
- Modern Foam manipulation
- Traditional Stitching and rebuilding
- Sewing Projects such as box cushions, scatter cushions
- Woodwork renovation, such as reviving and minor frame repairs
Bring along your ‘level appropriate’ project.
Morning & afternoons are a great opportunity to grab some time to yourself, and learn upholstery, leisurely.
